My poor Miller got a NASTY case of croup in December! What an awful and scary illness! He could barely breath and I couldn't keep his temp down so we took him to his pediatrician who told us it was croup and that if he got any worse he's have to go to ER for breathing treatment and steroids.
Well he got worse...
We got some breathing treatments, a steroids shot and hydration! But he was still having "striders at rest" (a hard time breathing) after six hours in the ER. So they were worried he might need a breathing tube so they sent us up to Portland.
Waiting on the ambulance...
He slept on Mommy the whole way to Portland.
We got checked into Saint Vincent's and they gave him one more breathing treatment and let him sleep!
And sleep some more...
And after two good naps he was doing MUCH better so no breathing tube!! They kept us the rest of the day and then Kev drove up and got us!
He was a happy camper to get to go home!
And we lounged around in our pj's for days...
And read lots of Christmas stories!
We're so thankful for doctors and nurses who took such good care of our little guy!
