Family Pictures - September 2014

We got a few keepers! {Which is hard to do with two toddlers and a hyper dog!}

We love FISHING!

We've been so busy with house stuff that Kevin hasn't had a chance to go fishing much this year... But we have made up for it in the past few days with lots of fishing for September! 

Mason caught a big bass down in Brownsmead!

Miller loves to reel fish in but isn't too sure about throwing them back...

We hooked a big one in Big Creek the night before the closed the creek for the month!

Kevin took me out to Tongue Point to fish and we caught one big Chinook and two silvers. We also had to let a native go and I lost two right at the boat! Ugh! We had a great day fishing together! 

The Chinook was about at big as Miller - Kev thought it was 25lbs! 

The boys had fun helping Daddy clean fish! 

We will have a house... Someday! {Slow Progress!}

The first few weeks of August Vinson came and dug out our lot and installed our septic system. We also got our temp power and water hooked up! I had our lot ready meeting with Adair on August 18th - we are still waiting to hear back on when will will be getting our foundation poured. BUT it should be soon! {I spoke with them today and we have finally been "released for construction" so the foundation should be scheduled and go in within the next week or two! We can't wait!! It's been a lame three weeks just sitting around waiting BUT it will happen - just praying we get a roof on before the rain starts!! Wish us luck... 

We have to have a capping fill system so it couldn't go too far in the ground so to get the right grade our system is sticking out a bit...it will eventually be covered with backfill but we will have to do some creative landscaping with the big hump!

The last month of Summer... {August 2014}

How is it already September?! After we got home from our trip we have been staying busy and having fun! Mason starts school next week!

We took the boys to a Hillsboro Hops baseball game! They loved it! Miller didn't move for six innings! And Mason made friends with everyone sitting by us! 

We also have picked apples a few times and even made some homemade applesauce! Can't wait to trim the trees and get our apples next year!! 

Swimming Lessons - 2014

The last two weeks of August we got to do swimming lessons in Clatskanie with our cousins! These kiddos had a great time and it was so fun that they got to do it together!

Family Family Family {Reunion - 2014}

I always bring my camera with such great intentions and then never take any pictures! We had a great time at the family reunion in SunRiver! We did manage to get some family pictures (just missing our missionary!) and some group pictures! It was a great time and we can't wait for the next one!

The Hoyt Family Reunion - 2014

We had a great time the first half of the canoe ride... And then Miller got hungry and I left the food in the truck so he decided to cry for the last hour and half. Mason had a great time with Grandpa and Grandma though! 

We also had fun riding bikes, play at the village in the bounce house, going to the SHARQ center and playing in pool! It was great seeing everyone and catching up with family! We are planning on having the next one in two year! Auntie Shey will be home then and we can't wait!! 

Summer Trip Home! {July 2014}

The boys and I got to take a trip to Burns for a few weeks this summer! We had a great trip! 

A not so great part was killing a nasty rattlesnake - first one I have ever seen at my parents house in the 25 years they have lived there! YUCK!! Thank goodness it slithered under Auntie Shery's tire and I got to run it over instead of chop it's head off! 

Miller and Bosty had lots of fun playing together...two peas in a pod!

I had my ten year reunion while I was home {can't believe its been ten years!!} We did a picnic at triangle park and then dinner at the Elks!

Someday I will find my "04" picture and do a side by side!

We got to celebrate Bosty's 2nd birthday!! 

We spent a few afternoons at the pool!! Mason loved every minute of it! Our cousins (Bryce, Brandon and Marion) also got to spend a week at Grandma's while their Mom and Dad were on a trek so Grandma had a full house but these kiddos had a BLAST!

These boys have too much fun together! Auntie Shery gave them all haircuts while they were there - handsome boys! Brandon (5) Mason (4) and Bryce (6)...

Mom got to spend a week in a tractor raking hay for Grandpa! Haying sure brings back some great memories...thankful I usually get a week of it in every summer. 

This boy can't wait to go to work full time for Grandpa Andy! He loves tractors and had a great time helping Mom!

Thanks for having us Mom and Dad! I'm so grateful that even though we live seven hours apart my boys get to spend time with my family...we love our visits!!
