Marvelous March!

March was a good month - it was literally the first month we were ALL healthy since AUGUST!! Daddy wasn't home much, with lock closure meetings and a 16 day month at work! BUT we stayed home most of the month and just got caught up on life!

We went to the creek to go fishin and shootin - Mason wanted to shoot the fish and keep telling Kev he was going to move to the next hole if he didn't hurry up and let him shoot. That boy!

We got to spend a night up in Vancouver with Daddy at his meetings - which included swimming and eating some yummy food!

This was our date night with the boys for cousin Brandon's birthday! We all went out to Mexican!

Daddy helped Grandpa Cork replace some fence posts in his garden and the boys loved being "helpers" too!

Miller decided he had enough of the crib and the boys started sleeping together! It actually works pretty great {minus the older dudes bed wetting!}! They both love to cuddle and are always right next to each other.

We celebrated St. Patty's Day with this handsome boys!

Mason has move into thinking he is a "parent" phase and likes to put his brother in time-out.

Mason has a new found love of bow and arrows!

We spend every dry day outside swinging and riding bikes! These boys have too much energy for their Mommy! We have to run it off somehow ;)

We spent a FUN day in Seaside with our cousin's during Spring Break! We did rides and treat and dinner at Pig - AND Mom stalked up on Salt Water Taffy! Yummy!

Love these handsome boys!

A Tough Goodbye...

Our best friends, The Timmerman's - took a job in New York and moved the end of February. We miss them terribly - and three months later {because I am that good at updating the blog!} Mason still asks to go to Trigg's house every time we pass their driveway. Moving is a hard thing for a four year old to comprehend. We had so much fun with these four boys! I know we will be forever friends - even if we live on opposite sides of the country! They have family in Astoria - so they'll be forced to come visit us ;) We love the Timmerman's!!

Happy Heart Day

Our sweet little Valentine's!

Valentine's Day - 2014

February! {Time to catch up!}

Imagine that...I went four months without updating the blog!! Time to play catch up...here is the iPhone version of our February!

We went to Port of Play for "P" week at preschool - Mason was having so much fun he couldn't;t be bothered to sit still for a picture!

My big helpers - shopping at our favorite store - COSTCO!

Mom went on a weekend trip to Boise {while Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys and Daddy was at work!} Auntie Shey went through the temple. It was a bit of a fiasco, lost bags [including temple clothes, missed/delayed flights, etc...} BUT it all worked out and it will always be a wonderful memory! It was a beautiful day and I am so happy we could all be there to share it with her!

We got a snow day - finally! The boys loved it and we made a Valentine's snowman!

We shaved our heads...again!

Miller remained sick (two more round of pneumonia) basically until the first week of March! Poor baby had a LONG three months!!

Mom signed up to be a Jamberry nails consultant - they're amazing! I love my Jams!

Mason FINALLY had his first day of Sunbeams - unfortunately it didn't go well. {More on that later...}

Mason was a champ at the dentist! YAY for teeth cleanings!

Kevin's friend Randy {who he works with} built this plane and took Kevin and I up for a ride around Astoria! It was awesome! WE really live in a beautiful place and the aerial view is INCREDIBLE!! And flying is pretty awesome too :)

Mason had his first school Valentine's Party - Miss Kara throws a great party :) The kids had a great time!

And the boys got some cute new towels for Valentine's Day! We love these two!!

January Sunshine!

We're still sick, Mason has missed two weeks of school! BUT we are starting to feel better and a little fresh air and sunshine was JUST what the doctor ordered! Thank you mother nature for not raining for a few days! Hopefully we'll 100% healthy soon!

The boys took the gator all the way down to the creek! Miller rode the whole time and we didn't fall off!

Mommy has missed these smiles!

A Broken New Year's Resolution!

Well 2013 was not our healthiest year... we had about six ER trips, two ambulance rides and entirely too many medical bills. Our New Years Resolution was to stay healthy and not meet our max-out-of pocket...again! Well we didn't get off to a very good start. As mentioned we (Mason & Miller) got sick our last few days in Disneyland. Well we got home and I took Miller straight to Urgent Care...verdict double ear infection and pink eye. Awesome.

Next day... 104.9 (it got higher) degree temp. I can't keep it down and now Mason has pink eye so we take them both in to our pediatrician. Dr. File says Miller doesn't have an ear infection (way to go Urgent Care) and that they do both have pink eye and probably a virus that is causing the fever. they send us home but say if Miller's fever doesn't go down to come back. Fast forward two miserable days...

Miller's fever doesn't come down. We bring him back in. They want to run a urine test and blood tests. They have to do a catheter (worst thing ever!), but he was so dehydrated that they can't get any urine so they send us straight to the ER.

We spend three days in the hospital. They gave him lots of fluids and rectal Tylenol (because he refused to take any and was burning up.) They do an x-ray and the verdict is - viral pneumonia.

 During our three days stay we ripped out three IV's, had three antibiotic shots and NO SLEEP! Okay, maybe just Mom got no sleep!

Miller got visits from Grandma and Grandpa and they also helped out with Mason! I can't imagine not living near family! It's such a blessing. Miller would have never been able to go home if it wasn't for Grandpa. Grandpa FINALLY got him to DRINK!

Once we got home and got some good sleep we've recovered quickly. Minus our daily does of antibiotics which is basically like World War III! [And I wish I was joking!}

A few days after getting out of the hospital we had our follow-up/18 month check-up. We went down to our 15 month weight and we got a two for one diagnosis of a sinus infection for Mason. YAY for more antibiotics {Hope you sense the sarcasm!}

And the next day our sick boy had to say goodbye to Daddy! Ugh!
 Hopefully we all feel better soon and we can stay out of the ER! But you can be sure I will be renewing our Life Flight coverage...best $119 dollars I spent all year!
