Daddy is Home...

We're so happy to have dad home! It was our first month spending all 16 days away from him since Mason was born. Mason looks more like him every day! And he acts like his daddy too...he loves being outside and loves listening to music! Here is a few pics of my boys...I love them both so much!

Mason can't wait to go fishing with daddy!

Mason got a jumperoo from Auntie Tera! He LOVES it! He is growing up so fast...such a big boy!

Our little cowboy had his first trip to the Clatsop County Fair! He loved the fair! He was awake for three hourse just watching all the animals and people. He is such a good boy. Mom can't wait for him to raise a steer =)

Our sweet baby boy...sleeping away after all the fun he had with his dad! He is growing and changing every day. We love him so much and are so blessed to have him in our little family.

Summer Term DONE!!!

Mason and I went to my last summer class on July 31st! I had two presentations and seven hours of class. Our son was AMAZING! We had driven all over the state...Burns to Grants Pass (for a visit with Aunt Erin!) then up to Monmouth then finally home! We left Grants Pass at 3 AM Saturday morning...spent all day in class...got out at 3:30 and drove home. We pulled in about 7 PM and we were so HAPPY to be here. Mason was so great in class...slept through most of it. And smiled and talked to everyone while mom gave her presentation on Performance Pay. He is such a stud! And to top it off we got straight A's our first term...YAY! He is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have him.

Burns Visit...

Mason and I went to Burns for a few weeks while daddy went to work. I was SUPER busy and didn't take many pictures =( We did get a few of Mason with Great Grandma Root. It was their first time meeting...so we were happy to capture the moment!

It was great to go home and hard to leave. We were ready to come home and see daddy but always miss my family when we leave. Grandma Jana hated to see us go! She did get alot of time with Mason Man. I raked hay for dad while I was there so I would put Mason in bed with Grandma at 3 AM...not the best time to hang out but she was great about taking him. It was my last few weeks of summer term and had not planned on working. But dad was short handed so I was happy to help...and we managed (somehow?!) to get all my homework done. It was good to be back in the hay fields...I miss the ranch. But not gonna lie a few weeks of it is more then enough for me! Mason loved seeing all his aunts and Uncle Jeffrey! Thanks for having us Mom and Dad...can't wait to come home for fair next month!

Beach & Birthday

Skye, Becca, the boys, Darin, Shannon, Marlee, Sayge and Shaylee came up for a visit! Kev took the Skye & Darin fishing. They had a great time. Caught six steelhead...four were keepers. Then we took all the kids out to Seaside. We had a yummy lunch then spent a few hours at the beach. It was great to see everyone. And Mason slept through his first beach trip...imagine that! He is such a good boy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives!

And yesterday day was Sayge and Laura's (my mother in law) birthday! Kev bbq'd some burgers and then we had an ice cream sundae party! Sayge is 8 years old...I can't believe it. It seems like we just got her yesterday.

The girls are staying with me for the week. Then we are heading to Burns and I get to visit my family for two weeks. It will be nice to go home...maybe rake some hay =) And I know Grandma Jana is dying to see Mason man!

Hoyt Family Reunion

We had a Hoyt Family Reunion over the 4th of July in Sun River! We had such a great time...lots of great food, catching up, canoeing, swimming, bike riding, basketball, an amazing talent show and lots of other fabulous events! My mother has a BIG family...she had seven brothers. Five of them were able to make it and lots of my cousins, their spouses and children. We are having the next one in another three years and we can't wait!

Catch up...

We have been BUSY! Summer finally arrived on the coast...thank goodness. We needed some sunshine. I have been busy with school work...only three weeks left of summer term. Kev had his first month back at work...it was a hard goodbye. And he is about to leave again! He got to do some fishing while we were home...steelhead and sturgeon. I got to go sturgeon fishing one afternoon...I hooked into a monster! Probably an eight footer! I fought him for a LONG time finally got him to the boat and kev was trying to pick it up for a picture and it flopped out of his hands. I was so BUMMED! Kev said it weighed at least 150 lbs...oh well. Kev caught this 50 incher the other day though...

Mason does not love the hot weather! Especially with no air conditioner! He is such a good boy though. We had his two month check up on the 7th and he weighed in at 12 lbs 2 ounces and 24 inches. The first round of shots were a challenge. Poor guy...temp of 102 in 90 degree heat! I felt terrible. The doctor said he is doing great tho...healthy, growing boy!

Above is my yard sale special coffee table. I shattered our old glass one (sad story!) so I was determined to find a "child proof" replacement. This solid wood rounded corner beauty was $20! And with $10 of paint and the supplies below is my final product =) I am quite pleased!

Kev did get to come home for his first father's day. Mason made him a photo book to take on the boat and got him the oudoor channel. It is $3 a month and Mom has not wanted to get it...watching hunting and fishing is NOT my favorite pastime. Kev was VERY happy tho =) We went to his grandparents for a BBQ...the weater wasn't too nice but we played some basketball and had some yummy food!

All the Johnson (Kev's moms side...) cousins...

The boys playin basketball...Beve looks like a dork!
