The first few weeks...

Well I am just over nine weeks. We have our first ultrasound next Thursday...I am so ANXIOUS! It has been good so far...I have definately been more tired then usual and have had an EXTREME appetite! I am starving all the time...which can be frustrating but is so much better then throwing up! I had one day of morning sickness and that was that. However, this past week has been no fun =( Working at a school and having the worst immune system ever is not a good combo! I started to get a cold last Sunday and have been on the couch for the last three days! I have felt terrible...and since I am not very far along I can't take much. But my hubby got off the boat just in time to take care of me for a few days. He even made a trip to town to the Women's Center to talk to my doctor and see what I could take - what a good man! Although I do think he was sucking up a little because he left me again this afternoon to go hunting for five days with his brother! I hope they have fun and have some good bonding time. Though I am sure they will just talk about hunting, fishing and work!

Another fabulous wedding....

It was definitely the year for weddings! My best friend Amaya got married on September 19th and it was perfect! (Minus my recent weight gain squeezing into that dress!) Amaya was gorgeous and her and Andy are so happy together =) I am just so happy for them!!! Amaya has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and it was great to be a part of their special day.

We're having a...

BABY!!!
About a week ago (I know I can't keep a secret very long) I got a postive pregnancy test.

This is the first test. I of course did not trust it and had to take two more...the next two mornings...before I really believed it!
And here are the next two...all three say "pregnant" so it must be so! I was (am) SO EXCITED!!! I wanted to tell Kev so bad but he was at work and I decided I should wait until he got off the boat (which was six days away!!) It was a LONG six days and while I had the intention of not telling anyone before my husband knew...I cracked and told a few. But I came up with a really cute plan on how to tell Kev. The day he got off the boat I was going to get us chinese food. I had bought some fortune cookies and made Kev his own fortune with the BIG NEWS! I was SO EXCITED for him to get home. Seriously longest six days ever...
Here is our dinner...After we finished dinner I asked Kev if he wanted his fortune cookie. He says "No, I don't like them. But I guess I'll see what it says." He goes over to the kitchen sink and opens it. There were two fortunes in it...the one that had been in there before and the one I put in. I had made two cookies the same so which ever he grabbed would say the same thing. He pulls out the fortune (I can't see which one..) throws it on the table and says...thats exciting (totally sarcastic!). Then throws away the cookie. I am not happy...thinking where is the other fortune! He had thrown it away. He was tired and going to sit down and I made him come back over to the table and read my fotune.
Which read....I stuck it right in front of his face so there was no WAY he could miss it. He started freaking out and saying "really? really?" He didn't believe me...but once it sunk in he got VERY excited!!! My plan didn't work perfect (stupid fortune) but he was definitely SURPRISED!! We are so happy and feel so blessed to have a baby on the way. I'm only five weeks along but we're so excited to wanted to share the good news!

Coaching Volleyball....WHAT?!?!

I have never been a huge fan of volleyball...those who know me know this. Even tho I played...just wasn't my favorite thing! I usually refer to it as "cheerleading in spandex." But last week I got a phone call that is going to require a change of attitude...Our middle school A.D. called and asked if I could coach the junior high volleyball girls. At first I wasn't big on the idea but I have warmed up to it...and am actually quite excited. I now am trying to educate myself enough to become a decent coach! I love the girls that I get to work with so I am very excited about that and I can use it as some good motivation to work out as well! So wish me luck...=) And any advice would definitely be appreciated! I'll keep you posted...

Erin and Josh's Wedding Week!

I spent the last week down in Grants Pass with one of my best friends, Erin. We were roommates at Western and she got married last Saturday. I felt so blessed to be a part of their special day. Her and her husband now live down in New Orleans and I miss her so much! It was great to be able to spend a week with her!!! We were busy all week but we worked and played =] When we weren't getting ready for the wedding we...threw Erin a bridal shower which was a Hawaiian theme, we went rafting on the Rogue, went on a Jet Boat Dinner Trip, got AMAZING pedicures and so many other wonderful things =) It was definitely an unforgettable trip!

This was our exit...Josh's dad was his Best Man and we decided to spice things up with a piggy back ride =)
YAY...their married!

Mariners vs Yankees....

I got Kev tickets to a Mariners game for his birthday in May and we finally got to go! We've been busy and finding a game when he was home and we weren't busy was a challenge. We had so much fun...other then Kev hating the city and city people and all that goes with city life! Seattle got their butts kicked by New York (11-1)...it was kinda pathetic. But oh well! We were surrounded by Yankees fans but we had good seats. The closing pitcher on the Yankees is a guy that Kevin knows from back home. He is from Warrenton so he was happy he got to see him pitch. And we got to stop at Cabelas on our way home...which made Kev's day. Even tho he didn't spend a dime - I couldn't believe it!
